I know we’ve been talking about this a lot lately, but camp is coming! This past weekend, I went outside! And it was sunny! And I didn’t need a coat! It was extremely exciting, and made me that much more antsy for summer to get here. If this is your first time sending your child to sleepaway summer camp, you probably have lots of questions. What to pack, how to prep, what to do with yourself in an empty house all summer … so we’ve got answers. Coming up on April 22nd, starting at 8pm, our Maine Campcierge TM, Laurie, will be answering all your first-time camp parent questions live on the MCE Facebook page. Laurie is an expert, and a camp parent herself, so she is a great source of information about everything from leaving home for the first time to what you can look forward to when the kids come back. You want to talk packing? Transportation? Camp activities? Visiting Day activities? Done, done, done, and done. Stop by for an evening of warm and welcoming advice from our favorite Maine Camp Parent. (Besides you, of course) Are you getting ready to tour camps or look for next summer? Come on by! There’s lots of great information for you too. And if you’re planning on joining us, RSVP here. Hope to see you on the 22nd! Looking for the perfect Maine camp for your child?  Try out our helpful tool where you can select a camp by choosing: type of camp (girls, boys or coed) and session length (1-8 weeks).  It helps to narrow down a few camps to a manageable list that includes rates.  Then you can research these camps in more depth.

Next, be sure to  to discuss these camps as well as for free, year-round advice and assistance on choosing a great Maine summer camp for your child.

You can share your own Maine camps memories & expressions of gratitude on our Memories of Camp section of our website.
