Maine is an easy drive and a quick flight from most places in the Northeast. It’s also easily accessible for campers and staff coming from across the United States and abroad. The closest airports are in Portland, Maine; Boston, Massachusetts; and New York.
The Journey to Camp
Children arrive to MCE Camps from all over the world and camp directors help arrange the transportation. Campers can be dropped off at camp, take a motorcoach from their hometown area, or fly into Boston or Portland airports, the central meeting points. Additionally, there are counselor-chaperoned flights from many cities throughout the US.
The summer begins the very moment the children step onto the bus or arrive at the airport. Friendships from past seasons are instantly rekindled while new campers — with the help and guidance of nurturing staff — quickly assimilate into their camp culture and community. As these buses head to camp, a sense of excitement and anticipation fills the air.
