Maine campers attend some of the most prestigious colleges and universities. Maine Camps find their staff at many of these same schools. The connection between camp and college is very strong. In fact, many Maine “best camp friends” go to college together as well.

As an alum of Camp Micah, a recent college graduate and a young professional I look back and see how my Micah experience has highly impacted my young professional experience. I had an amazing four years in Bridgton, ME, filled with laughter and excitement that served as an introduction to what my life would encounter.
I made my best friends at camp
JOANNA
As I sit here and try to come up with a witty way to start out my reflection about camp, I think about what I am up to in my life today. I open my door and see that my CBFF is my roommate in college. I open my Facebook and my inbox is blowing up with messages from my camp best friends filling me in on their lives. I don’t know where I would be without the girls in my life I have met at camp, and the experiences Matoaka has let me endure.
