The best way to explore an MCE Camp is to come and visit with your child, preferably the summer before enrolling. Nothing compares to seeing camps first-hand while they are in action.
Camp tours offer families an in-depth understanding of each camp’s philosophy, directors, staff, campers and facilities. An in-season camp visit is a great experience and it provides a wonderful opportunity to plan an incredible Maine vacation.
Be sure to call ahead to speak with directors to determine which tour dates are available. MCE Camps typically offer private tours designed to optimize the visit and show as much of the camp in action as possible. MCE Camps are flexible with scheduling tours and welcome families to visit at their convenience.
Maine Camp tours allow families to explore the camp’s magnificent campus and waterfront setting. Families also enjoy interacting with campers and staff and hearing about their love for their camp and for Maine.
We Chose Maine
BETH
We chose Maine (as opposed to a more local camp) for our daughter for several important reasons. The scenery, facilities, and relationships that she has had, living with people from all over our country and the world, have made this an especially unique and valuable experience. There is something so special about leaving one’s familiar stomping grounds and old friends for the beauty and countryside of Maine.
A Trip to Maine
FRANK
We scheduled a trip to Maine and went up that summer. We had lunch with the owners and directors. The grounds were beautiful, and we really noticed the laughing, singing and true warmth of the kids.
