Family Camp in Maine
Family Camp at Maine Camp Experience Camps is a unique and unforgettable vacation experience. It’s an ideal opportunity for families to unplug, have fun, and bond with each other while taking advantage of Maine’s natural beauty and lakes, and the camps’ incredible facilities, activities and instruction.
Family Camp includes lodging, meals, and activities. Some camps include trips to local events and outdoor adventures. The camps’ directors and staff are on hand to organize activities and games, as well as cook up and serve delicious Maine cuisine — including lobster! At Family Camp, participants enjoy recreational activities, including waterskiing, fishing, rock climbing, zip lining, archery, tennis lessons, arts and crafts, and more. There are even camp favorites like All-Camp Relay. For more relaxing times, “campers” can lounge by the lake or enjoy sunset campfires. No matter what they choose to do at Family Camp — families will create Maine memories to treasure. Following great Family Camp experiences, parents choose to send their kids to MCE summer camps.
Family Camp is open to the whole family; Mothers/Daughters; Fathers/Sons; current camper families; or prospective camp families. Family Camp experiences range from specific two-night weekend sessions to lengthier, more flexible stays.

Rookie Camp
There are two types of Rookie Camp experiences for kids to get the chance to see what camp life is like. Some camps offer prospective campers a chance to sample and experience camp a year before they attend.
Other camps offer shorter, trial sessions during the camper’s first year. Interested families can discuss these options with the camp directors. Some families choose to vacation in Maine while their kids can experience Rookie/Prospective camper stays.
