Camp Activities
Maine Camps provide a robust offering of land and watersports, performing and creative arts, and outdoor adventures taught by experts in their fields. At MCE Camps a child can play sports one activity period, then sail across a beautiful lake the next. Campers can scale a climbing tower, and later hone their artistic skills in a crafts studio or performing arts center. Children at Maine Camps discover talents they never knew they had.

Programming
There are three kinds of programming: Structured, Elective, & Combination. Camps with structured programming make the schedule and campers typically rotate through all of the activities. Elective programs allow campers to choose their own activities. Some camps offer a combination schedule, which is a mix of elective and assigned activities. Oftentimes, structured and combination camps offer more elective periods to campers as they get older.
Purposeful programming is a hallmark of all Maine Camps. Experienced directors develop age-appropriate and progression-based programs. Younger campers may play sports on smaller fields, climb on lower ropes courses, and create simpler arts and crafts projects — all tailored to a child’s age and abilities. As children grow they graduate to bigger fields, higher ropes courses, and more challenging activities — all geared toward developing lifelong interests and skills.

The setting, the facilities and the staff have always been first rate. The overall available instruction in every area was given by superior staff members.

Camp is such a un-judgmental and accepting place. I am thankful I got the experience that definitely purified and changed me for the better.
