Favorite Camp Clothes at Maine Camps
June 30, 2020
When thinking about how much we love camp, we think about our comfy camp clothes we wear with pride and nostalgia. Wearing your favorite camp clothes can be the perfect way to feel connected to our Maine Camp Experience (MCE) camps. We know our campers love their camp t-shirts, whether it’s the shirt you earned with five year camper status, a washed and worn shirt passed down from older campers for years, the tie-dye tee you made last summer at camp, or a shirt you bought on your favorite trip to Bar Harbor or Portland, camp t-shirts are one of the best ways to keep your camp memories in mind!Wearing your camp tees can remind you of the many awesome memories you’ve had in them, or can provide a conversation starter throughout the summer. MCE Blogger Emma says: “Even so many summers after my last as a camper in Maine, my favorite camp clothes still stay in my closet and even come to college with me! Whether it’s walking around in my Mt. Washington sweatshirt from one of our many hikes, or wearing the hat we got on our Bar Harbor bike trip, I love to sport my camp memories and talk about them when I do!”And, even in our uniforms, we at MCE know that nothing beats your cozy camp sweats with your camp’s logo— they’re practically designed for lounging by a campfire or for a cool summer night! Our camp clothes are our perfect summer outfit. Finally, we know that so many of our oldest campers were working to make a few specially designed senior items— whether they are sweatshirts, t-shirts, or tanks— and have looked forward to wearing them. No matter where you are this summer, sporting your fun senior designs can be a great way to feel connected to camp. And, sending a picture to your camp friends when you wear them can be an awesome way to stay in touch! We at MCE think that wearing your camp clothes can be the perfect, simple way to feel connected to your camp— whether you’re near or far. — Maine Camp Experience Resources & Tools
