We’re ecstatic that spring has sprung, bringing us ever closer to Maine Camp Summer 2021! Before our campers can enjoy fun times at the lake and beyond, there are a few pre-camp to do’s for Maine Camp families:

  • Enroll – research and enroll your child at Maine Camp if you haven’t yet. Visit mainecampexperience.com or email our Campcierge™ for guidance: laurie@mainecampexperience.com.
  • Camper profile – your Maine Camp will likely ask parents to fill out a camper profile to get to know your child a little better and to create cabin assignments. Our camps use great camp management services like Bunk1 and CampMinder for parent engagement for forms, photos, and more!
  • Trunks – some camps have families transport their own trunks to camp while many others use a service such as Camp Trucking. If the latter, be sure to fill out your online reservation.
  • Camp shopping – likely your Maine Camp works with a camp outfitter such as Amerasport, Bunkline Outfitter, or The Camp Spot for camp clothing and gear. It’s time to review your camp’s packing list and start getting important items such as camp clothing, bedding, a Crazy Creek chair, flashlight, stationery, and more. Plan to label everything since campers’ items may look alike. Also helpful is to pre-address some envelopes to home and other important places to make it easier for your camper to write and send letters, and/or get an address book for your camper and write in addresses.
  • Camp transportation – some camps have parents bring their children to camp while others coordinate for motorcoach and/or flights. Now’s the time to check with your camp and reserve your camper’s spot. MCE business partner Atlas Travel is a good travel resource.
  • Health forms – make those doctor appointments for your child’s annual health screening and/or have your physician’s office fill out forms to send to camp.
  • Medicine – many Maine camps work with a partner like CampMeds to transport and manage your child’s medicine while at camp. Check with your camp/register with CampMeds. Last, but definitely not least … get ready for your camper to have an incredible Maine Camp summer! Maine Camp Experience Resources & Tools
