Maine Campers: It’s Time to Come “Home”
June 21, 2022
For many Maine campers and their parents – this last week at home is a very hectic finale to the school year. It’s often an intense amount of graduations, recitals, sports tournaments, dinners, and other endings. The frenetic “ending” will soon be replaced with a new beginning as campers will walk through the hallowed gates of camp to begin camp summer 2022!
Our Maine Camp directors and staff are ready to welcome campers! They have been at camp for the past couple weeks training, planning, organizing, and prepping. All this prep will lead to staff meeting the moment – the moment that campers arrive!
There’s almost nothing than can compare to the electric energy of buses pulling into camp and campers disembarking to hugs, high five, and cheers. The human tunnels campers pass through would warm your heart. They.are.home!
There’s no doubt that Maine campers will thrive. They’ll come from every US state and several countries abroad to enjoy nature, and unite with longtime friends and make friends anew. They will enjoy being back at their favorite activities (sports, arts, nature, and more) and they will find new passions and talents. They will enjoy longtime camp traditions and they will explore new sights on great out-of-camp trips.
And then, there’s that special element. That special sauce. That special je ne sais quoi. It’s unpredictable now, but will be the extra magic that helps define this summer. Campers will soar to new heights, goals will be reached and overcome, new songs will be written, new traditions will born, and unforgettable memories will be made. We don’t yet know all that will be, but we know it will be great!
So, Maine Campers, it’s time to come “home” – we’ve missed you and we’re ready to welcome you. Whether you’re a longtime or first time Maine camper – we are waiting for you with open arms. Our camps have planned the most incredible summer, and the touch of unknown magic will be the cherry on top!
