The sun has set on Maine Camp summer 2024. We’re so sad it’s over, but we rejoice because it happened. It was a GREAT summer. Here are some of the things we celebrate:

  • Campers and staff came from all over the US and many countries abroad. A great way to broaden horizons.
  • Campers got time off from hectic school-year schedules. At camp, they had a combination of being active and quality downtime to sail on the camp lake, enjoy sitting on Adirondack chairs under the pines, and beyond.
  • We had plenty of sunshine for all the great activities and trips.
  • Campers laughed, acted silly, and had fun.
  • Campers had a HUGE range of activities and top-notch instruction in land and water sports, arts, and nature.
  • Campers honed skills and tried things anew.
  • Campers set and achieved goals.
  • Campers enjoyed incredible special events and traditions that augmented daily programming.
  • Campers took memorable out-of-camp trips throughout Maine, New England, and beyond.
  • Campers and staff made lifelong friendships.
  • Campers unplugged from their tech devices. They connected with nature.
  • Campers gained confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Youngest, first-time campers become comfortable and enmeshed in their camp community.
  • Older campers gained leadership skills.

Each Maine Camp summer is tied to the history of the camp (many over 100 years) and is also a new adventure. We are thankful for this chapter!
