Dive into ‘25! Happy New Year is even happier knowing that we’re now in the same calendar year as the coming Maine Camp summer. Dreaming of summer days on our Maine Camp lakes with camp friends propels us with great energy and motivation.

As we make our way through school-year responsibilities, here are just a few of the many things campers excitedly anticipate (and why parents should research and enroll now if they haven’t signed up their campers yet):

Lakes - big, beautiful, crystal clear lakes for sailing, swimming, waterskiing, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding

Sports - top-notch instruction, skills and drills, leagues, intercamps, and rec time playing basketball, lacrosse, soccer, flag football, tennis, pickleball, golf, gaga, volleyball, baseball, softball, biking, dance, gymnastics, horseback riding, running, fencing, archery, and yoga

Arts - opportunities to express creativity in painting, ceramics, jewelery making, theater, dance, music production, instruments like piano and guitar, radio, newspaper, animation, stained glass, sewing, costuming, tie-dying, photography, video production, culinary, STEM, and woodworking

Outdoor pursuits - high and low ropes courses, aerial parks, rock walls, hikes, discovery centers, farm animal care, campfires (and S’mores)

Trips - whitewater rafting, lobster boating, hiking, camping out overnight, Portland Sea Dog games, Acadia National Park, Boothbay Harbor, Portland, Old Orchard Beach, blueberry picking, and beyond

Special events and traditions - big/litte brothers and sisters, campfires, Olympics, Color War, College Days, The League, The Cup, Sing, and Jamboree

Downtime in and near the cabins - chilling out with camp besties. Talking, make friendship bracelets, shooting hoops at pop-a-shot, playing ping pong, playing cards, and more

We’re over the hump and on the back nine. We got this. We can do it. We’ve got renewed excitement and energy. Let’s go ’25.
