Costume Fun at Maine Camps

As pumpkins pop up on porches and costume shops fill with creative ideas, we can’t help but think of all the amazing costumes we see every summer at camp in Maine! While Halloween comes just once a year, Maine campers know that dressing up and getting silly isn’t limited to one day. At camp, costumes are part of the magic, and there are so many chances to dress up. From “Halloween in Summer” to luau nights, neon parties, tie-dye days, theater productions, and themed socials, every event is a reason to pull out something fun and festive.

Campers love transforming into superheroes, disco dancers, or even their counselors for a day — and it’s that carefree, imaginative spirit that makes camp so special. Whether they’re digging through a costume bin, painting a shirt, or adding glitter to a crazy hat, it’s all about laughing together and showing off creativity.
