The magical in-between week …

There’s something special about the days between Christmas and New Year’s. Time slows down. Calendars lose their meaning. You wake up and genuinely have to ask, “What day is it again?” And, that feels … wonderful.

The rush of the holidays is behind us, but the new year hasn’t quite arrived yet. The pressure eases. Emails quiet down. Schedules loosen. It’s a rare pocket of time that invites us to rest, reflect, and reset.

In many ways, this in-between week feels a lot like summer camp.

At camp, days aren’t ruled by dates or deadlines. Instead, life is measured by moments: a swim in the lake, a conversation on the dock, a laugh around the campfire. You don’t worry about what day it is—you’re fully present, recharging without even realizing it.

The post-holiday downtime gives us that same gift. It’s a chance to sleep a little later, move a little slower, and reconnect with ourselves and the people around us. Whether it’s a quiet walk outside, a good book, a new baking recipe, or simply doing nothing at all, this pause helps us rejuvenate in ways we don’t always make space for during the year.

And just like camp, this time away from the usual routine prepares us for what’s next. We return feeling clearer, calmer, and more energized — ready to step into the new year with fresh perspective and excitement.

So if you’re not sure what day it is right now, enjoy it. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Sometimes, the best moments happen when we let go of the clock — and let ourselves just be.

Here’s to rest, renewal, and that timeless camp feeling we carry with us into the year ahead. Wishing you a wonderful new year! We’re excited for camp summer 2026!
