The first of the four PGA Majors is underway, and we’re enjoying the game, grounds, and fun traditions of the Masters. It makes us think of golf at Maine Camps where campers learn golf skills and etiquette, and play amdist beautiful surroundings.

While baseball, tennis, track, and lacrosse continue to be widely played spring sports (and very popular atheletics at Maine Camps each summer), interest in golf also has been growing very strong. Maine campers learn golf fundamentals and hone their games. They receive personalized instruction on stance and hand positioning, which clubs to use, and how to chip and putt. They also practice precision, patience, and perserverance. They hit on driving ranges and play on courses at camp, as well as visit nearby courses. Golf is great for novices through more advanced players. Campers golf for fun and there are even inter-camp tournaments for those who want a little competition. Many campers enhance their skills for school golf teams.

We’re excited for campers to enjoy the links at Maine Camps this summer!
