The backpacks are packed. The schedules are set. And kids are heading back to school.

But they’re not walking in as the same kids who left school in June. In addition to new school supplies, they’re carrying confidence, independence, and resilience from everything they learned at camp this summer:

  • How to make a new friend.
  • How to try something they’ve never done before.
  • How to speak up.
  • How to solve a problem on their own.
  • How to keep going when something is hard.
  • How to be part of a community.
  • How to believe in themselves.

At camp, kids practice independence every day. They make decisions. They take risks. They figure things out. They create opportunities. They set goals. They discover that they can do more than they thought they could.

And then they come home a little more confident, a little more capable and a lot more ready to take on whatever comes next.

So when they walk through those school doors, they’re saying in their head:

  • I can do this.
  • I’ve got this.
  • I know how to make a new friend.
  • I know how to try something hard.
  • I know how to figure things out.

Because the best things kids gain at camp don’t stay at camp.

They take them with them to school and for life.
